Aches & pains

Wow, so all of a sudden I am having all sorts of aches & cramps in the uterus. I called the doctor several times just to make sure nothing was really wrong, but pretty much all they could tell me is "sucks to be you", figuratively speaking. Appearantly I am experiencing "round ligament stretching". Talk about painful! But so long as I'm not having any other symptoms then I'm A-ok. Hopefully these pains work themselves out soon because it really makes bicycling a bit more difficult. I think I might also be feeling some pretend contractions too. It's a different tight sensation that is intermittant and doesn't hurt but isn't very pleasant either. Or maybe thats just my bladder talking? :)

But other than that I'm feeling just splendid. I love to feel her kick, it's the neatest thing. She can be quite vigorous sometimes. I wonder what she is trying to do in there?

I decided I need to find a shirt that says "baby on board"(like people put in their car window) so people will be careful not to run me over while I'm biking. If you saw a lady with a shirt like that you totally wouldn't run her over, am I right?

Dog bite

I got bit by a dog while riding my bike to work, just as I was passing this couple their big pitt-mix dog lunged and chomped down on my foot. When I stopped to talk to the people you know what they said? They said that it was because I startled him, that’s why he attacked “but it’s ok because he has had all his shots.”
Well I didn’t really need my toes anyway, but at least I wont get rabies :) can you believe that!
They walk these two aggressive dogs by the elementary school all the time. While I was standing there talking to them it tried to attack another passing bicyclist & then lunged at me again. They didn’t seem to care at all & had plenty of excuses why he would attack, none of them admitting they were at fault.
I need your help. For those of you who live near me you have probably seen them. A man & woman walking a yellow pitt-mutt dog & a doberman pinscher. If anyone knows where they live I need their address to report them, but they obviously weren't going to give it to me. So if you see where they live please let me know. I might be forced to just stalk them some morning and find out myself unless anyone else knows.
BEWARE: stay away from their dogs & keep your kids away; they are not friendly dogs & the owners do not have very good control of them.

On a different note:

I think I felt baby kick for the first time Friday. Finally at 18 1/2 weeks I felt it. It feels like a thump right in the uterus so I'm pretty sure thats what it is. Everyone says it should feel like a flutter, but I'm not feeling that(maybe I missed that stage?). This is a definate thump and it happens most while laying on my back or laying on my tummy & baby is squished, then it thumps alot.

Ok so here are the ultrasound pictures I promised. This was at 15 weeks. I am now at 18 1/2 weeks. I think I felt the baby move for the first time today. Pretty cool huh. Also Brandi Clark is pregnant with #3. I just found out yesterday.

17 1/2 Week Update

Ok so sorry I haven't updated in awhile. We just got the internet again. I'm 17 & 1/2 weeks, getting pretty close to halfway. So we have an appointment on August 4th to find out the gender. I gotta know! No belly pics yet since I'm not showing yet. Sorry but there is no belly to photograph! I know, everyone at work keeps checkin' out my belly hoping to see some signs, soon I'm sure. We took a picture at church of all the pregnant gals and I was on the end trying to push it out a bit, everyone else is showing very nicely.
I'm feeling great though. I started running again with my visiting teaching companion Jordan. She is awesome. I did the Butte to Butte on the 4th, but it wasn't very fun; too hot and I wasn't really prepared. But thats ok, I finished at least. Tuesday we ran 5 miles and it felt great, it's good to be running again. It took way too long for my knee to heal. Also have been biking the 8 miles to & from work everyday. All the exercise really helps beat the yucky bloated pregnant feeling.
I didn't get to see Dr Haugen at my lst appointment since he has an emergency delivery. I saw Dr Tufariello, she is really nice. I'm almost thinking of switching to her instead. Not that there is anything wrong with Dr Haugen except that he is a guy & Dan would prefer that I went to a gal. I just felt more of a connection with her.
I had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago and it was pretty cool. Not a blob anymore. It has arms & legs & was so wiggly. It's alive!!! Hopefully I'll be able to feel the wiggles soon. I'll post the ultrasound pictures shortly.
